ROV Consulting provided the structural design for the three-storey, 50,000 S.F. addition to Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, a sustainable, gravity-fed winery overlooking a 140-acre vineyard in Oliver, BC. Our work addressed the challenges of integrating new structural systems with the existing production facility and underground barrel caves while accommodating the winery’s geothermal and solar infrastructure.
The expansion included new hospitality spaces and a watch tower requiring long-span framing, seismic considerations, and careful detailing to maintain durability and support heavy public use. ROV’s solutions ensured structural efficiency and seamless connections between the addition, guesthouse, restaurant, and other estate facilities.
