Mahdi Yazdinezhad

P.Eng., MASc,Lead Structural Engineer, Principal

Mahdi joined ROV in 2010. He has developed expertise in a wide variety of structures including commercial, industrial and multi-story residential buildings. He has a Master of Applied Science from UBC with focus on the seismic design and upgrading of existing structures. Mahdi has the experience of engineering with different construction materials and is always versatile in coming up practical and innovative solutions.

Dr. Bahar Reza

P.Eng., PhD, CEA Structural & Building Energy Engineer, Partner, Certified Passive House Designer and Net-Zero House Designer

Bahar has more than 8 years of professional experience in  Structural and Building Energy Engineering. Furthermore, she received her Ph.D. degree with specialty in Building Energy Engineering. She is the author of several peer-reviewed journal papers in prestigious engineering journals.

Bahar can provide a wide range of structural engineering services such as residential and industrial structures, marinas, guardrails, signs, glass (railings, stairs, steps). In addition, she is a certified Energy Advisor and an expert in building energy engineering services such as: BC Energy Step Code, BCBC Part 9 and 3 (performance-path); Certified Passive House and Net-Zero House design; building energy modelling for energy/cost optimization, on-site building envelope inspecting and blower-door testing.

Trevor Judd

P.Eng., MASc, B.Sc.

Trevor spent every summer during university framing houses with a construction crew. He specializes in 3D modelling & design and lateral design for custom homes. He is currently working on his Masters of Applied Science in Structural Engineering at UBC with a focus on steel bridge fragility assessments. Trevor received his P.Eng. Certificate March 8th, 2017.

Ian Cumming

P.Eng. B.A.Sc.

Ian joined ROV in the Spring of 2019 as an E.I.T. During his engineering studies, Ian worked in the field building concrete water reservoir tanks and pump stations, as well as worked as an estimator in a construction management company. After graduating from UBC in the spring of 2016, he has worked in Structural Consulting on residential and commercial projects within the Okanagan. He has a passion for new and challenging projects.

Annabel Fairweather

E.I.T B. Eng.

Annabel joined us as an E.I.T in the fall of 2017. She grew up and went to University in Adelaide, Australia but now calls Canada her home. During University she worked for a construction company helping her understand the fundamentals of residential construction. Her undergraduate honors thesis was a study into the behaviors of a new blend of Ultra High-Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete in slender columns.

Nate Eggers

E.I.T BASc

Nate graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science from UBC Okanagan in the spring of 2018 with a focus on structural design, and joined ROV Consulting in the fall of 2018. Nate has had previous experience in residential and commercial framing prior to pursuing his career in structural engineering, and has also had experience in structural design and drafting

David Raoufi

E.I.T. BASC

David joined ROV in the Spring of 2021 as an E.I.T. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science undergraduate degree locally at UBC-O while working part-time with ROV during his final term. David has experience working with various contractors and consultants through his co-op terms on commercial construction projects. David enjoys working closely with clients to find the best solution to suit their needs.

Brandon Bradshaw

E.I.T. B.A.Sc.

Brandon Joined ROV in the fall of 2021. He graduated from UBC Okanagan in 2013 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design. Since graduating he has worked in stainless steel equipment manufacturing, building panel product development, and structural consulting.

Quentin Little

Structural Technologist

Quentin works remotely with ROV Consulting from his home in Vernon, BC. His work experience includes mechanical engineering drafting, land surveying, residential drafting and construction, and over 10 years drafting in structural engineering. Projects have included industrial, commercial and custom home design in wood, steel, concrete and masonry.

Josh Meier

ASTTBC Grad Tech C.E.T. & Structural Technologist

Josh has over 7 years of experience in building residential custom homes, and multi-family housing. He worked as a Jr. Project manager during a Co-op work term for a 26-unit housing development, and earned an AutoCAD Skills Certificate in 2012.

Ben Bryant

Structural Technologist

As a new member of ROV consulting, Ben brings a wealth of practical and experiential knowledge to this position. Having recently graduated from the Civil Engineering Technology program at Camosun College, Ben has a fresh drive for excellence providing detailed initial designs for ROV’s various projects.

Mike Larocque

Structural Technologist

Mike spent a couple years working hands on in various commercial construction projects, before returning to school to study Architecture. This theoretical knowledge, combined with practical application, has gained him a well-rounded understanding of the construction process. After spending most of his career in Alberta working with precast, in both the design and manufacturing stages, Mike has relocated to the Okanagan Valley to join ROV and work on a wider variety of structures. Since starting, Mike has been able to utilize his experience with BIM programs such as Revit to complete some of ROV’s larger projects.

Kaelynn D’Amico

Office Manager

Kaelynn has over 10 years of Management experience. She manages the day to day operations of the office and she will always greet you with a smile and ask you about your day. So please stop in or call and she will be glad to assist you.

In 1997, Richard ventured out on his own and started ROV Consulting out of his home office. Since then, the company has grown, and now has two beautiful offices located within the prestigious INVUE Building. Richard has been involved in the construction industry for over 40 years in various capacities.

ROV Engineering Consultants is an Structural Engineering and Energy Consulting  firm based in Kelowna, BC. We’ve been serving the Interior of British Columbia since 1997, and are licensed to practice in British Columbia, Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Arizona.

Our projects range from small residential additions and renovations to large commercial projects and high-rise structures.

Our office is very busy with many different types of interesting projects and the atmosphere and environment is considered by most to be the best engineering office in BC.
