Mahdi joined ROV in 2010. He has developed expertise in a wide variety of structures including commercial, industrial and multi-story residential buildings. He has a Master of Applied Science from UBC with focus on the seismic design and upgrading of existing structures. Mahdi has the experience of engineering with different construction materials and is always versatile in coming up practical and innovative solutions.
Bahareh has more than 8 years of professional experience in Structural and Building Energy Engineering. Furthermore, she received her Ph.D. degree with specialty in Building Energy Engineering. She is the author of several peer-reviewed journal papers in prestigious engineering journals.
Bahareh can provide a wide range of structural engineering services such as residential and industrial structures, marinas, guardrails, signs, glass (railings, stairs, steps). In addition, she is a certified Energy Advisor and an expert in building energy engineering services such as: BC Energy Step Code, BCBC Part 9 and 3 (performance-path); Certified Passive House and Net-Zero House design; building energy modelling for energy/cost optimization, on-site building envelope inspecting and blower-door testing.
Farya brings his over twenty-five years of experience to the ROV team. His experience includes a wide variety of structures, from multi-purpose high-rises, which is his main expertise and passion, to heavy industrial structures in Oil & Gas as well as Mine & Metals projects. The twin towers of Symphony Place and Dolce Building in 38 storeys, and the new extension of Vancouver Convention Centre are among his signatures in Vancouver. With an artistic background—as hobbyist–his creativity in engineering solutions has no limit.
Farya is a member of the interviewer’s panel of the EGBC professional registration board. He also volunteers a lot of his time in the Mentoring Programs of both EGBC (young engineers) and UBC (senior students).
Meagan joined us in 2010 as a summer Co-Op student. Her undergraduate studies focused on structural concrete, wood and steel design. She also has previous experience in concrete and soil testing. Since joining us full time in 2011 as an E.I.T. she has worked on a variety of projects, including pools, custom homes and commercial renovations. Meagan received her P.Eng certificate in August 2015.
Trevor spent every summer during university framing houses with a construction crew. He specializes in 3D modelling & design and lateral design for custom homes. He is currently working on his Masters of Applied Science in Structural Engineering at UBC with a focus on steel bridge fragility assessments. Trevor received his P.Eng. Certificate March 8th, 2017.
Quentin works remotely with ROV Consulting from his home in Smithers, BC. His work experience includes mechanical engineering drafting, land surveying, residential drafting and construction, and over 10 years drafting in structural engineering. Projects have included industrial, commercial and custom home design in wood, steel, concrete and masonry.
Josh has over 7 years of experience in building residential custom homes, and multi-family housing. He worked as a Jr. Project manager during a Co-op work term for a 26-unit housing development, and earned an AutoCAD Skills Certificate in 2012.
Sean moved to Kelowna in 2012 from Edmonton to take the Civil Technology program. In Edmonton, he worked as a Red Seal Carpenter in commercial and residential construction. His work experience in the field has been beneficial to his career as a technologist.
Annabel joined us as an E.I.T in the fall of 2017. She grew up and went to University in Adelaide, Australia but now calls Canada her home. During University she worked for a construction company helping her understand the fundamentals of residential construction. Her undergraduate honors thesis was a study into the behaviors of a new blend of Ultra High-Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete in slender columns.
Kyle is new to the company as of 2018. He has worked in the Okanagan and Shuswap as a Structural Technologist for just under 4 years with experience working on Residential, Commercial and Industrial projects. Kyle’s experience in residential framing is what inspired him to pursue a career in Civil Engineering Technology.
Kaelynn has over 10 years of Management experience. She manages the day to day operations of the office and she will always greet you with a smile and ask you about your day. So please stop in or call and she will be glad to assist you.
Chris utilizes his construction, steel fabrication and 13 years of fall protection industry experience to conduct fall protection audits and design practical and cost effective fall protection systems for clients. He is currently working on attaining his Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation.
