Who We Are

Structural Engineers in Kelowna BC

Richard  moved to the Okanagan in 1981 to work with AcuTruss and AcuJoist.  In 1997 he ventured out on his own and started ROV Consulting out of his basement.  Since then, the company has grown along with Kelowna and is now located in a beautiful 1600 Sq.Ft. office at the prestigious INVUE Building.

 

Richard is a licensed pilot and owns an airplane that is capable of easily reaching projects throughout BC & Alberta.

 

Richard O. Visscher P.Eng  President/CEO

  • 1977 B. Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta
  • 1981 Member of the Association of Professional  Engineers of British Columbia
  • 1997 Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Alberta
  • 1998 Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Arizona

During his 30 year career, Richard has worked on a wide variety of projects.  From designing new grain processing machinery for Rogers Foods, to engineering multi million dollar lakeshore mansions.

 

Mahdi Yazdinezhad, M.Sc E.I.T.

  • 2009 P.Eng - Member of Iranian Construction Engineers Organization
  • 2011 Registered E.I.T. with the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia
  • Experienced in Steel & Concrete design
Mahdi expects to become a P.Eng in April of 2012.  He is a P.Eng in Iran with 8 years experience,and has designed 12, 16, & 20 storey steel and concrete structures.  
 

 

Gina P.A. Gudwer E.I.T.

  • 2006 B.Sc in Engineering Cum Laude - Walla Walla University (Washington, USA)
  • 2008 Registered E.I.T. with the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia
Gina joined ROV Consulting in March 2008.  In addition of general projects she specializes in glass guardrail engineering and helical pile foundation repairs.

 

 

Trevor Judd E.I.T.

  • 2009 B. Sc in Engineering  - University of Calgary
  • 2009 Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of BC
  • 2009 Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Alberta

Trevor spent every summer during university framing houses with a construction crew.  He specializes in 3D modelling & design and lateral design for custom homes.

 

 

Meagan Harvey E.I.T.

  • 2011 B.A. Sc in Civil Engineering - University of British Columbia
  • 2011 Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia
  • Joined ROV Consulting in 2010 as a summer co-op student from UBC Okanagan

Meagan's undergraduate studies focused on structural concrete, wood and steel design.  She also has previous experience in concrete and soil testing.
